Dominicans Get Together at the LCWR 70th Anniversary
On August 13th, 103 members of the Dominican family gathered for a reception sponsored by the Dominican Sisters Conference (DSC) at the LCWR 70th Anniversary assembly in Orlando, Florida. They joined 1,300 leaders and guests celebrating this milestone for the Leadership Conference of Women Religious.
Among the guests were representatives from the Confederation of Latin American and Caribbean Religious (CLAR), including a Dominican sister from Puerto Rico and a Dominican friar from Colombia, both of whom attended the DSC reception.
This year, the Dominican family also rejoices as our own Sr. Betsy Pawlicki, OP (Sinsinawa), is the newly elected President-Elect for the conference. We took the opportunity to bless her with the Dominican Blessing during our mini Encuentro.
It was truly a delightful evening of connecting and building communion while relishing Dominican hospitality and joy!
