The delegated bishops of the Episcopal Conferences of Mexico, the United States, and Canada recently gathered in Cuernavaca, Morelos, for a fraternal meeting focused on prayer, dialogue, and strengthening collaboration across the Church in North America.

The North American Dominican Promoters of Justice, Peace and Care of Creation invite us to listen more deeply to the voices and lived experiences of those too often unheard. “Silent Voices, Big Truths” is a series of reflections exploring moments of struggle in our U.S. society and Church through the lens of Dominican values, especially Veritas—truth rooted in lived experience.

Associate Spotlight: Mary Helen Rowland
From childhood piano lessons at the Motherhouse to her work today as a potter and parish volunteer in Virginia, Dominican Associate Mary Helen (Call) Rowland has carried the influence of the Dominican Sisters of Springfield throughout her life.

Sister Spotlight – Sister Susan Karina Dickey, OP
When Sr. Karina was first visiting the Springfield Dominicans, before she had decided to join them, Sr. Santina DeLuca told her, “It’s a beautiful life for those called to it.” Nearly 30 years later, Sr. Karina knows what she meant. The life she once came to explore has become the life she continues to choose – and, in her words, she continues to feel that she is living God’s call as a Dominican Sister of Springfield.
